We had been in school together for years, but it wasn't until 10th grade when we actually met. We went from never sharing one class together, to sharing 3 in the same semester! We started off as friends, just laughed together most class periods. Then we began to realize there was more to our goofy, flirty, joking around...we could actually be more than friends. So that's my side of the story...but Josh will tell you he just liked me because I wore my field hockey kilt to school and showed off my legs. Whatever the reason...I'm so happy we met! 9 years later...we are finally making it official!

We had originally planned a Las Vegas wedding...but things didn't go quite as we hoped. We then changed it to an outdoor wedding at Josh's dad's house in Westminster, Maryland...however we ended up changing those plans as well. They say the 3rd time's the charm...so we're sticking with our 3rd choice. The OFFICIAL plans are to get married at La Cucina, our favorite Italian restaurant right here in Hanover. It's "our" restaurant, so what better place to be on "our" day. We were able to get the room from 7pm-11pm and plan to squeeze our ceremony and "reception" in that time frame. There is a beautiful patio right off of the room...soooo...depending on the weather, we are hoping to have the ceremony portion of the evening out there. If we do not luck out with the weather, we can have the ceremony inside and it will be just as beautiful...so it's a win-win either way :) Immediately following the ceremony, we will have dinner and drinks. We're not sure exactly what time dinner will be served, so plan to eat a late lunch that day. We are not having a DJ or any of that "traditional" reception type stuff, but there will be music and alcohol so anything's bound to happen. All we really want if for everyone to have a great time and truly enjoy themselves!

Josh and I are so excited to go "South of the Border" for our honeymoon! We are going to the Riviera Maya area south of Cancun in Mexico. It will be the perfect getaway to soak up the sun, kick back with a refreshing margarita and start our new life together. Now all we have to do is brush up on our Spanish...Dos cervezas...ha, I think we'll do just fine!
