Jamie and I met in September of 2006 at Snellville Baptist Church in Sunday School. I am currently teaching at Cooper Elementary School as a 4th and 5th grade special education teacher. This is my 4th year teaching. I graduated from North GA College and State University in 2003, and I got my Master's degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy in 2007. Jamie was born in Virginia and moved to GA when he was about 8. He now is a train conductor for Norfolk Southern. Trains were a passion when he was a young boy, and he now is able to live out his dreams of being on trains all the time and get paid for it.
On June 9, 2007, Jamie and I went up to the mountains for my birthday. I used to live near there so we went out to eat and visit some friends for my birthday. When we got back to the cabin, Jamie proposed to me three minutes before midnight in the hot tub. He was so determined to propose on my birthday:)
The wedding ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm on June 13, 2008 in the gardens of an old plantation called the Carl House which is in Auburn, GA. The address is 1176 Atlanta Highway, Auburn, Georgia 30011. Please pray for no rain because we really would love to have the ceremony outside in the gorgeous garden! This is a Friday night, so traffic will unfortunately be more of an issue. Dress for the wedding and reception will be Sunday best. The reception will immediately follow the ceremony in the ball room of the Carl House. A full meal will be served, so come with your appetites! After dinner, there will be much celebration. Come prepared to have a good time and be ready to dance! The reception will end around 11-11:30.
We are so excited to be starting our lives together! What better way than to be able to enjoy a luxurious honeymoon in St. Lucia. We appreciate each of you being there for our special day and playing a part in making our honeymoon spectacular.
