Michelle Harlan & Brian Dierckman
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
So, about 2.5 years ago, November 2005, we met in Indianapolis at Methodist ED. Michelle was a nurse working in the ER, and Brian was doing his rotation in the ER for his 4th year of medical school. While neither of us were looking for love, just a fun time...or as Brian puts it: a hot chic to hang out with for a few months before he left for residency!!! Our first date...Michelle took Brian to a Monday night Colts vs. Steelers game. After that, Michelle new it was all over. Brian however tried to fight it to the end! lol. We ended up spending most of our time together through the next months. In March 2006, Brian found out he would be moving to Atlanta, GA for residency. From then on we didn't know what the future had in for us. Brian moved in June, and we saw each other every couple weeks until November when we decided travel costs were becoming very expensive, and when Brian gave in to his heart. Michelle being in school to get her RN, and working 2 jobs gave it all up to take a BIG leap of faith, and decided to move to Atlanta to be with Brian. After 6 months of Michelle moving, Brian popped the big question. It was July 4, 2007. The best day of our lives...except for when we met: ) Since the proposal, we have been wedding planning away. It has been a struggle trying to plan an Indiana wedding from Georgia! I guess one day it will all be worh it!
The wedding ceremony will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Michelle's Matron of Honor is Amy. Bridesmaids include: Trish, Sarah, Sarah, Lindsey, and Jess. Brian's Best Man is his brother, Scott. Groomsmen: Craig, Aaron, Wasyl, Jon, Ed. Our color is Persimmon...kind of burnt orange.
The reception will be held at Michelle's father house. We are renting a HUGE tent. We will have great food, fun, and music...of course.
We hope to leave the reception about 9 pm. We both would love to have a little alone time on our wedding day...And not to mention we have to be at the airport at 4 am. We will fly from Indy to Miami to St. Lucia, our final destination!
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being apart of lives, wedding day, and the start of our new journey as a married couple.
