I knew from the first moment I laid eyes on Maynard (Reese) Caldwell I would Love him for the rest of my life. He sat in the row behind me at my little brothers Christian my freshman year in college. I was 18 yrs old and I thought he was the most handsome man I had ever seen. We never spoke on this day, he left before the service was over. Our paths meet again in June of 1998 at his Birthday party he and his cousin was having at his home. I remember getting so upset with my friend because she had on a knock out pair of Daisy Dukes with her golden brown legs showing and he could not keep his eyes off her. I was so mad at her that night because he never looked at me once. But, I got my chance on my birthday one month later when I ending up at his house again with my girlfriend looking for his cousin and that was when he noticed me. He wanted me to stay and hang out but I had to play hard to get but quickly gave him my phone number instead. We had our first date at the end of July with my three good friends because I did not want to go out with him alone because what would a 19 year old girl say to a 23 year old man. The date went well but shortly after that I had to return back to school. In the next couple of weeks we lost touch but with the help of Bobo (Jeremy) we connected again. We had our third date and this is when he finally admitted that he felt the same way I have felt since that fall of “97”. As he drop me off at my dorm he grab me around my wrist and looked deep in to my big brown eyes and said “ I think we are going to make” and we have been making it ever since then.
