Dave and I met at the advertising agency where we both worked. Part of his job was to meet all the new hires and find out something about them. Then, after taking some notes, he would sketch a caricature name plate for them to hang outside of his or her office. So, when I started at the agency, Dave sat down and asked me about myself. When he discovered I was born and raised in Scotland, he was hooked! It didn't take long before we were in love, and on November 18, 2006, he tricked me into going to Weston, Missouri, with him--I thought we were going to a fashion show. When I walked into the Vineyards restaurant, which was supposed to be closed, and saw a single candle lit on a table for two...I knew. But, I really knew when bagpipes began playing! Dave proposed to "Scotland the Brave."

We are getting married on September 8, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kansas.

Our reception will be held at The Little Theater in downtown Kansas City.
