Us with all our beautiful kids.
Us with all our beautiful kids.
It all began in early summer of 1986. He was working on the pool at the Utica Square Apartments. I got his attention by asking when the pool would be open. It was love at first site.
Being teenagers though, it was too soon to get so serious.
But, as fate would have it, we ran into each other again in 1989 and started dating again. It still wasn't the right time though. We would have to wait.
We went on to lead separate, yet parallel lives. MYSPACE would make it possible to find each other again. I found his page that he had forgotten about making, sent him a message & waited. And waited. And waited.
Three months later he was checking his AOL e-mail, finding hundreds of messages to weed thru. Yep...he's on the computer A LOT, can't you tell? Anyway, he saw an e-mail from MYSPACE. He didn't even know what it was, didn't remember setting it up, so he went in & checked it out. He couldn't figure out who "TOM" was on his friends list, but he recognized me. A few days after he sent a reply I finally got it.
I called him and...the time is finally right! And, I'm not letting him get away this time!!! If you haven't heard the song, "GOD BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD" by Rascal Flatts, give it a listen. It tells our story...it is us. Everything we have lived to today makes us the couple we are and will be. God has a way of bringing us to the right place at the right time. This is our time...now & for always.
It is going to be a very simple affair on July 18th. And, best of all, we aren't going to try to drag you into it. :-)
We've "been there, done that". This time it is with the right person, so it's just a matter of legality. Nothing fancy. Family and a couple of friends will be our witnesses.
It's the journey, not the "ceremony" we are excited about.
Again, we will spare most from the business of "cake, nuts & bad punch". We plan to follow our vows with a cook-out. Simple.
This is the only part we need your help with. We are full-time working parents & have little time and money. We want to get away for a week. We don't need traditional gifts. We have a toaster and don't want a crystal vase for the kids to break.
We want to get out of the country for a full week. I have never been out of the USA, and neither of us has had a honeymoon. So, this is the only part we plan on making sure we do. Any help with this is GREATLY appreciated!!! We need to get away...without kids, before we get to the business of being a newly blended family.
A little R&R would help us be ready to get on with the day-to-day.
HELP!!!! We really want a honeymoon.
PLEASE HELP!!!! This is important to us and need some help making a dream a reality.
Thank you from the both of us.
