Our Story

Grant and I met in 2006. We were both at the gym and a friend of mine kept asking me if I had seen this really cute trainer guy named Grant. I was not in the market for a relationship and since my friend developed a crush on every guy in the gym I was not too interested, but to humor her I let her introduce us. I was pretty surprised how cute he was. I immediately became shy and left to continue my work out but like I said...I was not in the market for a relationship and I never thought I would ever be his type anyway. I would randomly see him at the gym and a couple nights after our first meeting he asked if I wanted to go see his friend play at a local club. No one else could go and it ended up being just him and I. We hit it off as friends and after that we would hang out at parties or randomly hang out when we had time. We were always just friends. He was always a gentleman and we were never flirty. All that changed in 2008. I was going through a lot in my life and no matter how much time passed with us not seeing each other he was always the person I leaned on. I was having a really rough time and just needed some time with my friend. I still was not really in the market for a relationship, but we were both single at the time. He picked me up and took me to dinner, we went to the movies and saw a really awful "b" rated horror movie then we went to shoot darts where I proceeded to kick his butt. We sat at the bar and we were talking, and it hit me, that no matter who either one of us were with or dating during our friendship I was always the most "myself" with Grant. It was late and it was time to go home. This night felt a little different then all the others....probably just because we had not seen each other in a while. I figured it was just me feeling that way. I still didn't think I was his type. We were always JUST good friends. When we got in the truck he looked at me and he said he needed to tell me something. Before I could even ask him what it was he leaned in and kissed me. Well, I was completely surprised!!!!! We tried to take it slow after that but since we had known each other so well we moved in together shortly after and the rest is history. I didn't think I was ready at the time and everything seemed to move so fast but I couldn't be happier and it has all been such a huge blessing.

We feel in love with our home the minute we saw it and I knew it would be the perfect place for all of our friends and family to gather for our wedding. We will have a beautiful garden wedding and reception at our home in Murfreesboro.

Travel Arrangements

WOW! We are actually going to have some time alone. We have never been more then a day or two away from the kids so it will be rough, but we are really looking forward to this time together. We plan to visit the Sandals resort in the Bahamas. Since we already have all the "stuff" we need we really want to thank everyone for their contribution. You are giving us more then a honeymoon...you are giving us precious time and memories together. Thank you!

A Special Message From Us

Balancing work and family and working in a wedding and honeymoon in the middle can be a challenge. We want to thank you for contributing to our honeymoon. This will be one of the very few moments we get alone and even though we will miss our little ones I know this will be one of the best times in our lives. We feel so blessed to have friends and family like you all!
