I love to share the story of how we met because it was not a meeting that we had expected to have.

We met at the Tulsa Fire Arms shooting range April of 2011. I was meeting a friend there for target practice and Barry was with him as well. They had purchased some new hand guns and wanted to test them out. I had fun learning about shooting and Barry was very helpful and patient with me and my nervousness. After we finished putting holes the paper bad guys we decided to continue the evening over some coffee (for me Barry doesn't like) and free pie. We sat for the longest time just visiting and laughing. I was later told by our friend he had given Barry my number since he thought we had connection. Barry contacted me a couple days later. We started hanging out and doing friend things with no pressure of the idea that we would be a couple. Of course in time we knew that we wanted something more. Of course our friends knew this before we did and in June of 2011 we decided to make it more than just friends. Of course you can guess how things went because on December 7, 2012 Barry proposed. Much to my surprise, of course.

Friday December 7th, 2012 Barry took me out for a delicious sea food dinner at Joe's Crab Shack, which is one of my favorite places, and have some wonderful crab. He mentions during dinner if I would like to go look at Christmas lights. Of course I love looking at the lights, so we decided to go out to Rhema and see the big display they put up each year. It was a busy night at Rhema but that didn't stop us from enjoying the evening.

We stopped for a moment to rest our feet and just watch the people and lights.

Barry at this time took the opportunity to pop the question. I began to tear up from  complete shock. When I was able to compose myself again I was finally able to say yes. :)
